Think about it:

  • Ms. Frizzle is a teacher. River becomes a professor.
  • The first time we meet River? Leading an archaeological expedition. Also known as: field trip.
  • The bus is her TARDIS. It’s bigger on the inside and the chameleon circuit isn’t broken.
  • Liz is obviously an alien life form (possibly some form of Silurian
  • All of Ms. Frizzle’s crazy relatives are just codenames for the Doctor. (He occasionally gives her field trip ideas.)
  • How does she know all her field trips will turn out fine? She’s a time traveller, she knows exactly what to do. 
  • Her unusually small class of 8 could mean that the kids are in a gifted program. They might become important actors in world events and River (knowing their futures) is preparing them. (I’m very proud for coming up with this one)
